How do I manually manage an inspection in Artion?
Managing inspections that are not automated through the Artion network? Discover how to easily schedule, follow up and process certificates correctly in the platform.
Introduction
Some inspections are carried out by parties that are not part of the Artion partner network, for example an external partner of your choice or an internally authorised person.
You can still fully manage these inspections in Artion.
Although Claire can assist you (read more in the article about Claire’s Inbox), you can also manage inspections entirely manually within the platform.
Where do I manage my inspections?
Go to the asset detail page and open the “Inspections” tab.
There you will find an overview of all inspections linked to that asset.
The Artion platform:
-
Automatically creates inspections based on the legislation linked to the asset type
-
Displays the expiry date of the last inspection
-
Calculates when the next inspection must be scheduled
This ensures you always have a clear overview of open and upcoming inspections.
Scheduling an inspection
If an inspection does not have a date in the field “Scheduled on” and the deadline is exceeded, it will appear as “Overdue”.
To avoid the impression that no action has been taken, it is important to correctly enter the scheduled date.
To schedule an inspection:
-
Go to the Inspections tab of the asset
-
Select the open inspection
-
Click “Schedule inspection”
-
Enter the inspection date
-
Add a start and end time
-
Save
This keeps your dashboard accurate and transparent.
Uploading the inspection certificate
After the inspection has been carried out, it is essential to upload the inspection certificate.
The certificate:
-
Confirms that the inspection has taken place
-
Contains the score (A, B or C)
-
Lists any non-conformities or remarks
-
Defines the validity period
Based on this information, Artion can automatically create the next inspection correctly.

Reporting an issue with an inspection
The platform also allows you to report an issue related to an inspection.
For example when:
-
An inspection must be postponed
-
The asset is temporarily unavailable
-
There is insufficient information
By registering an issue, you improve transparency and maintain an accurate dashboard overview.
